My Experience at Studio Center
COMM 368 - Internship
During the Summer of 2025, I had the opportunity to intern at Studio Center, a media production house that also specializes in advertising and marketing. During my time there, I was in the Social Media Department under the supervision of Haleigh and Rusty. This was a new experience for me, as I hadn't had the opportunity to use my previously learned skills in a professional setting like this before. As an intern, I had multiple opportunities to develop my skills, as I was doing something different almost every day, thanks to the fast-paced environment of social media. Throughout my time there, I honed my graphic design skills, content creation, and editing, while also assisting with in-house shoots and occasionally operating the camera. It was difficult at times, as being in a new environment can be difficult, especially when having to collaborate with others; however, quickly it became clear that Studio Center is one of the most welcoming places to be in, and I settled in, not afraid to ask for help from other employees and my supervisors.

My experience at Studio Center opened my eyes to the possibilities of a future career in media production, a field I hadn't considered before, as my passions had previously been focused on the gaming industry. I aim to apply the knowledge I've gained at Studio Center to my future career, focusing on how I can make a meaningful impact in the gaming industry. This could involve developing games, working in media production, or contributing to marketing efforts behind the scenes.
At the end of my internship, I was asked to reflect on my experiences in more depth and create a platform to showcase my knowledge. I decided to showcase my work through a short Adobe Express page, where I provide more details about my internship and highlight some of the projects I completed during my time there. You can also access my NACE reflection on my Blog page. You can see other examples of my work below as well!
