Google Pixel 9 With Gemini | Teamwork

Google has recently announced its newest phone, the Google Pixel 9. One of the features that the phone offered was Gemini, an integrated AI into the phone. This is different from the popularization of other AI services like ChatGPT or Copilot, as Gemini is built into the phone to provide services to the user. Google's advertisement regarding this AI feature is a Utopian view of technology, as it improves the world. The advertisement shows what Gemini is capable of on the Google Pixel, as it can give users recommendations based on location and then be able to put it on Google Maps, something that current AI has not done before. These positives regarding the new Google phone are unsurprising, as Google has had a history of creating advertisements that provide a Utopian view of media technology. There is no difference with this, as Google believes in technological determinism, which is the idea that technology is a guiding force toward social change. This advertisement shows that using AI can make making plans with friends and family more accessible by finding restaurants, shops, and more so the user does not have to. Google is selling a product meant to make life easier for people and provide quick solutions or responses, which is what a technological Utopia seeks to do.
